Below are answers to the most frequently asked questions about medical expert witness services provided by Expert Witness Doctors.

  • What are the fees for Expert Witness Doctors medical expert witness services?

    Fees vary depending upon the medical expert witness services required. A fee schedule will provided once initial details of your case are collected. Contact us for more info.

  • Are Expert Witness Doctors' services available throughout the United States?

    Yes, all medical expert witness services, with the exception of IMEs, can be provided throughout the United States. Records and imaging for Medical Record Reviews, Peer Reviews, etc. can be sent to us via mail or electronically.

    Depositions can be conducted via phone or teleconference. Travel to your location is also available for an additional fee + travel expenses. Contact us for more info.

  • What is the turnaround time for a Medical Record Review?

    Medical Record Review reports can be provided within 3-4 days of receipt of patient records.

  • Will Expert Witness Doctors physicians serve as a Medical Expert Witness in Medical Malpractice cases?

    Yes, but only in cases that do not involve current or former colleagues.

  • Will Expert Witness Doctors travel in order to testify?

    Yes, contact us to discuss fees.

  • How quickly can an Independent Medical Exam be scheduled?

    In most cases IMEs can be performed within 3-5 business days. Rush cases can be accommodated for an additional fee.

  • Are all Expert Witness Doctors certified to perform IMEs?

    No. At this time we provide IMEs for Orthopedic conditions and injuries only. IMEs are preformed in the Austin, TX area.

    IMEs can be performed outside of Austin if a minimum of six patients are scheduled for examination on the same day. Contact us for more details.

  • Is it possible to speak directly to an Expert Witness Doctor to discuss my case?

    A initial free consultation is available with our medical director, who reviews all incoming cases and assigns the appropriate medical expert witness.  If you proceed with our services we can schedule a call directly with the Expert Witness Doctor assigned to your case.

  • Are CVs available to keep on file?

    CVs with a summary of credentials are available for each specialist here. If a case is presented to us for review we will provide a full CV, including publications and presentations.
